Life List
So here it is, my current and ever-changing “Must Do In Life List,” listed in no particular order… Items in blue are completed and items in red are in progress. If you want to tackle any of these with me, shoot me an email with your proposed plans and let’s get to it. Similarly, if you have ideas for things I MUST add, let me know!
- Get a second and third tattoo.
- Climb to Machu Picchu.
- Kayak around the volcanoes in New Zealand.
- Work for the Mariners.
- Buy full season tickets for a professional sports team.
- Visit New York City.
- Donate blood regularly.
- Launch an entertainment blog w/my girlfriends. (See Belles Of the Sound, 02/2010)
- Go snowshoeing. (Got the snowshoes 12/09, now need the snow…)
- Visit Hawaii. (Have ticket vouchers 3/10, just need to set a date)
- Ride a zip line.
- Go to the Olympics. (Vancouver 2010)
- Register to host backpackers through CouchSurfing.com.
- Run an entire 5K. (St. Paddy’s Day Dash, 3/14/10)
- Learn to make homemade pasta.
- Live and work abroad.
- Take one picture of my life everyday for one year.
- Attend a major music festival outside of my home state.
- Visit China or Japan (or both).
- Visit Morocco. (July 2007)
- Spend a night in the Sahara. (See above Morocco trip, July 2007)
- Raft the Grand Canyon.
- Attend graduate school.
- Payoff my credit card (and cut it up). (In progress!)
- Payoff my school loans. (In progress for the next 20 years…)
- Sell my car and get a ZipCar membership.
- Go on a cruise.
- Marry my best friend.
- Take Italian lessons.
- Take a spontaneous road trip.
- Visit the redwoods.
- Attend a self-defense class.
- Participate in the 24-hour blog-a-thon.
- Be an extra in a movie. (YES! Check out Mozart & the Whale. I’m not kidding. Sept. 2005)
- Visit all the monuments in Washington D.C.
- Be a delegate to the Democratic National Convention.
- Finish the Warrior Dash.
- Have/adopt a baby.
- Climb Kilimanjaro.
- Volunteer for the Humane Society. (started July 2010)
- Take my parents on vacation.
- Ride in the Fremont Solstice Parade’s Naked Bike Race.
- Take a winery tour via bicycle.
- Own a bar/pub.
- Take a photography class so I can justify buying a nice camera.
- Camp in the Hoh Rain Forest on the Olympic Peninsula.

Great list!! #45 I would buy a great camera to justify the class. Just get the camera and start shooting. That’s the best way to learn. The class will be fun, but you should consider doing a 365 project. Forcing you to take photos once a day will be the best thing to improve your photography skills. Good luck with all of them. It is an awesome list!!
Thanks for stopping by! I think I probably will just go out and buy the camera. I was actually doing some online research just yesterday… I do want to do one of those 365 projects, but I never thought about it from the perspective of learning the new camera. Great idea! I can play with the different settings and angles and lighting to make the photos different and interesting each day. Muchos gracias for the inspiration!
